1. Baking Soda
Baking soda is one of the best effective home treatment to cure foot odor. Add baking soda in lukewarm water and soak your feet in it for 15 to 20 minutes every night for about one week.
Before wearing shoes and socks you can also sprinkle baking soda on them.
2. Soak in Salt Water
Salt can help you to pulls moisture out from your skin, reducing the number of bacteria that can survive there. In a tub or large bowl of warm water, dissolve 1 tablespoon of salt in it. Soak your feet for 20 minutes. Do this every day for two weeks.
3. Black Tea
Black tea contains tannic acid that helps to kill the bacteria that make foot odor. Black tea also closes the pores on your feet which in turn reduce the amount of sweat. To make this home remedy, boil 2 black tea bags in 3 cups hot water. Now add the ½ bucket of normal water to lower the temperature. Now soak your feet in it for 15 to 20 minutes. 4. Lavender Oil
Lavender oil has very good fragrance and also helps to kill bacteria. Lavender oil also has antifungal properties that help to cure foot odor. Put few drops of lavender essential oil in warm water. Now soak your feet in it for 20-25 minutes. Repeat this 2 times a day.
Vinegar is also the best home remedy to cure foot odor because it creates an acidic environment in which bacteria cannot survive. You can use any type of vinegar, especially apple cider vinegar. Mix 1 cup of vinegar in 6-8 cups of hot water. Now soak your feet in it for 10-15 minutes. Now, wash your feet thoroughly with soap to remove the vinegar smell.
