1. Wheat

Wheat contains some compounds that produce an analgesic effect that helps to minimize the lower back pain.

What will you need? 
  • Wheat
  • Cuscus grass powder
  • Coriander
  • Milk- 1 cup

The process to do this:
  • Soak a handful of wheat in water for overnight. 
  • In the next morning, mix coriander and cuscus grass powder in it. 
  • Now add one cup of milk and boil it for a few minutes until it thickens. 
  • Drink the mixture twice daily.

2. Poppy Seeds

Poppy seeds are the best treatment for lower back pain.

What you will need?

  • Rock candy- 1 cup
  • Poppy seeds- 1 cup
  • Milk- 1 glass


The process to do this:

  • Grind 1 cup of each rock candy and poppy seeds.
  • Consume 2 teaspoons of this mixture two times in a day, followed by a glass milk.
  • Does this treatment for a few weeks or until you get relief.

3. Chamomile Tea


Chamomile tea can also help you to get rid of the lower back pain. A hot cup of this tea may relax tense muscle tissues that can be the cause or a related symptom of a backache.

What will you need?
  • Chamomile flowers: 1 tablespoon
  • Water: 1 cup

The process to do this:
  • Put 1 tablespoon of chamomile flowers to one cup of boiling water.
  • Steep this mixture for 10 minutes.
  • Drink 1-3 cups of this tea daily to get rid of the lower back pain.

4. Ice Packs

A cold compress of ice packs is also an effective remedy for reducing back pain and swelling.

What will you need?
  • Ice cubes: 1 bowl
  • Plastic bag
  • Towel

The process to do this:
  • Fill a plastic bag with crushed ice and wrap it in a towel. 
  • Now put this compress on affected area for 10 minutes. 
  • Do this repeatedly, waiting half an hour between each application. You can also apply hot compresses.

5. Massage

6. Epsom Salt

Epsom salt is also the best home remedy for lower back pain.

What will you need?
  • Epsom salt
  • Towel
  • Water

The process to do this:
  • Make a thick paste by mixing some Epsom salt with water. 
  • Soak a towel in it and ring out any excess liquid from the towel. 
  • Now put this towel on back the near and around the aching area. 
  • The heat from the towel will also reduce any swelling. 
  • You can also take bath by adding 2 cups of Epsom salt to your bathwater. Soak for 30 minutes in it.

Most of the back pain gone in a few weeks without any medical treatment. You can try home remedies to get rid of the lower back pain. But if they are not going in few weeks then you need to see a doctor. Call your doctor if your back pain hasn't improved after a week of home treatment or if your back pain:
  • Spreads down one or both legs, especially if the pain extends below your knee
  • Causes weakness, numbness or tingling in one or both legs
  • Occurs with unintended weight loss
  • Is constant or intense, especially at night or when you lie down
  • Occurs with swelling or redness on your back
