Baldness in males is a problem which becomes the cause of hair lose of head. Male baldness occurs when follicle shrinks over time, that result in shorter and finer hair. Follicle does not grow new hair. The follicles remain alive, which suggests that it is still possible to grow new hair.

Normally most of the people shed 50-100 hairs a day. This is not noticeable because new hair is growing in at the same time home hair fall. Hair loss problem occurs when the cycle of hair growth is disturbed. There are many factors which causes male baldness some of main causes of male baldness are given below:

Hormonal Changes: Changes in hormones and imbalances can also cause temporary hair lose. Hormone levels are also affected by the thyroid gland, so thyroid problems may cause hair loss.

Age: Age is also a factor that cause baldness problem in male. Because as our age grows  number of hormonal changes can occur with aging:
  • Decrease in testosterone
  • Increase in SHBG
  • Decrease in serum DHT and 5-alpha reductase
  • Decrease 3AAG, a peripheral marker of DHT metabolism

Heredity(Family History): One of the most common cause of hair fall is hereditary condition also known as male pattern baldness. Heredity also effects the age at which you begin to lose your hair.

Symptoms of Male Baldness

  • Patchy or circular bald spots: This is the one of the most common symptom of baldness which occurs both in male and female. In males symptom begins to recede from the forehead in a line that resembles the letter M.
  • Gradual thinning on top head: Normally this type of hair loss affects just the scalp but in some cases it also occurs in eyebrows and breads.
  • Sudden hair loss: Tension, emotional and physical shock can also cause problem of hair lose. Handfuls of hair may come out when combing or washing your hair or even after gentle tugging. This type of hair loss usually causes overall hair thinning and not bald patches.
  • Patches of scaling that spread over the scalp.
  • Full body hair loss.
