How to get rid of blackheads at home?


Blackheads are the small bumps that can appear on your face, back chest and arms. They appear on skin because of clogged hair follicles. These bumps are called blackheads because of their black surface. However, there is lots medicines are available in the market for blackheads but they come with some side effects. How to get rid of blackheads at home?

Want to get rid of blackheads? Here is the list of natural treatments that can help you to get rid of blackheads.

1.Honey and Milk Pore Strips

Honey and milk both are very beneficial for our skin. Honey has antibacterial properties and milk has lactic acid which makes the skin supple and soft. So here we know how to use them to get rid of blackheads.
  • Mix 1 tablespoon of organic raw honey with 1 teaspoon of milk. 
  • Heat it for 5-10 seconds in the microwave, and then mix again to blend thoroughly. 
  • Cool down it at room temperature. 
  • Now apply a thin layer over blackheads, and then gently but firmly pat a strip of dry, clean, cotton onto it. Let dry (to play it safe, wait at least 20 minutes) and carefully peel the strip away. 
  • Rinse with cold water and moisturize as usual.

2. Cinnamon

  • Mix 1 teaspoon each of cinnamon powder and lemon juice with a pinch of turmeric powder.
  • Apply it on your face.
  • Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes and then rinse it off.
  • Alternatively, you can mix 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder and honey to form a thick paste. Apply it on the affected area before bed and leave it on overnight. In the morning, wash your face well with normal water. For best results, follow this remedy daily for about 15 days.

3. Green Tea

Green tea is also can be used to treat blackheads.
  • Make a smooth paste by mixing dry green tea leaves with a little water 
  • Gently scrub the paste over the affected area for two to three minutes. This scrub deep cleans oily skin and helps unclog pores. 
  • Rinse it off with lukewarm water.

4. Lemon Juice 

Lemon juice is the best ingredient for your skin. It is also the best home remedy for blackheads.
  • First, wash your face clean and then pat it dry. In a small bowl, squeeze one or two lemons to extract its juice. 
  • Apply this lemon juice on the target areas on your nose and face using a cotton ball. You need to apply this juice on the affected area at bedtime. 
  • Rinse your face with lukewarm water the next day morning and then pat it dry. Apply moisturizer. 
  • You need to repeat this process 3 to 4 times in a week to find a solution on how to remove blackheads from the nose. 
Note: If your skin is dry or sensitive then don’t do this remedy.

5. Turmeric 

Turmeric is the queen spice of Indian Kitchens. Apart from a spice, it is beneficial for our skin, so turmeric is used in many beauty products. Here we will know how to use turmeric for blackheads?
  • Mix some turmeric powder with 2 tablespoons of mint juice to make a smooth paste. 
  • Apply it to the affected areas. 
  • Allow it to dry for a few minutes. 
  • Now wash the area with lukewarm water. 
  • Alternatively, you can also make a thick paste by mixing red sandalwood, turmeric powder, and milk together. Apply it on the affected area and after 10 minutes wash the skin with water.
